3 websites surveyed, fixed up, handed over, with monthly care

I surveyed the three existing WordPress sites of AFK Munkaruházati Kft., a workwear company in Cegléd, at the end of August. By mid-October I had put them in order: the T-shirt webshop was closed down and its addresses lead to the company site. Since then I have looked after the two remaining sites on a monthly maintenance plan.

    Survey

All three sites from the outside, as a customer sees them, then from the inside, read-only.

    Contract and backup

Accepted by email. Backup, bot filter on the forms.

  3. 17 Sept

    Quote requests and measurement

A quote request button on every product page of the workwear site. Google measurement in the company's own account.

  5. 5 Oct

Both webshops on current PHP. Tried out first on a separate copy of the workwear site.

  6. 9 Oct

    Migration

afk-kft.hu moved to new hosting, onto a fresh WordPress base.

  7. 15 Oct

    Merge and handover

The addresses of the T-shirt webshop lead to afk-kft.hu. Backup handed over, personal logins with an emailed code.

Measured results

1,291

unsolicited bot entries and old test entries deleted from the workwear site's form list, after a backup. The genuine messages were kept.

43%

smaller total size: the 18 large images used on the four main pages of afk-kft.hu came to 6 MB instead of 10.5 MB, at the same image dimensions.

0.6 s

server response time on afk-kft.hu on the new hosting, from 8 measurements on 16 October 2026. Before the move it was between 1.4 and 2.1 s.

What went into it

Forms that send email

Three forms were not sending email, and the visitor could not tell. Now quote requests arrive at two company addresses. I tested the current forms with sample data, and the client confirmed the test emails.

A quote request on every product

On the workwear site, 34 of 80 products could not be ordered. Now every product page has a quote request button, and the product name goes into the form automatically.

Own login, with an emailed code

Staff log in with their own accounts, and after the password they also enter a code that arrives by email. The user list of afk-kft.hu can't be queried from outside.

Backup and a tested update

A fresh, verified backup of all three sites, handed over to the company: 39 files, 3.0 GB. I tried the PHP update on a separate copy of the workwear site first.

Migration and merge

afk-kft.hu moved to new hosting, onto a fresh WordPress base. The T-shirt webshop was closed down: its addresses lead to afk-kft.hu in one step, and the addresses of the logo T-shirts lead to the new branded company T-shirt page, where a logo can also be uploaded with the quote request.

Measurement and data protection

Search Console and Analytics on both sites, in the company's own account. Before, the measurement either did not work or collected into an account that was not the company's. On afk-kft.hu there is now a privacy and cookie notice, a legal notice, consent on the forms, and Analytics only measures after acceptance.
